The Midnight Elves is a 7:24min film short that celebrates the joy of Christmas! It was premiered at the Pavilion during the Sussex International Film Festival and the management were so impressed by it that they asked if they could screen it before the main features on Christmas Eve!

It came about when Gareth Jones was introducing the movie “Elf” to the Pavilion Film Club in December of 2023 and two boys (Mason and Adam) walked in and sat directly in front of him dressed as … Elves. This was clearly to good an opportunity to miss and so the film was quickly scripted, planned and filmed!

21 hours of editing later and it was ready for screening.

Next, the film will be entered into Film Festivals world wide, where it will hopefully be as well received as it has been in its hometown! In fact, the film was recently screened as a part of one of India’s largest Children’s Film Festivals in Lucknow. It was included in the section showcasing excellence in World Cinema. We are waiting for the result from the Amsterdam based Children’s Film Festival.

The Midnight Elves will be screened on Dec13th 2025 at the Hailsham Pavilion.
